A research project funded by TM R&D entitled Visual Based Ambient Assisted Living is looking for one postgraduate research officer. A brief description on this research project is given below:
It is the main objective of this research work to develop novel computer vision techniques in order to recognize elderly’s eating and drinking hand postures, with the ultimate aim to intelligently assist them in their eating and drinking activities of daily living. The expected output of this research project would be novel computer vision techniques for elderly’s eating and drinking hand posture recognition.
The ideal postgraduate research officer candidate should possess:
- A bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Computer/Multimedia/Telecommunications engineering or Computer Science/IT with minimum second upper class (preferably CGPA above 3.5).
- Background knowledge or prior experience in image/video processing.
