Scholarship Criteria and Entitlement:

All applicants will undergo an interview. Applicants will be notified of the interview details through email.

Opening of application: Two weeks before the commencement of trimester

Closing of application: The day before 1st day of trimester

Interview Session: Second week of the trimester

Successful applicants must confirm acceptance of the scholarship offer within 1 week from the issuance date of the scholarship offer letter, failing which the scholarship will automatically lapse.

General Terms & Condition:

1. The application is open to Malaysian citizen only.
2. The scholarship is offered to those students that completed a Bachelor’s Degree Programme from a recognised institution with minimum CGPA of 3.33 and successfully registered for the postgraduate programme listed.
3. Scholarship duration is one (1) year for Full-Time programme and two (2) years for Part-Time programme respectively.
4. The Scholarship discount is only applicable to programme fees within the duration of Scholarship.
5. The Scholarship is not applicable for payment of re-sit / re-take of subjects.
6. The scholarship is awarded based on the outcome of interview. The decision of the adjudicating Scholarship committee is final.
7. Students are required to maintain GPA of 3.33 in every trimester throughout the duration of scholarship.
8. Leave of absence/ change of programme/ change of mode of study (FT/PT) is not allowed.
9. The minimum credit requirement is based on the course structure of the programme.
10. Students are only entitled to one (1) MMU Scholarship at one time. Students are not allowed to combine Scholarships.

MMU Achievers Research Scholarship is a scholarship offered to students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree OR Master’s degree by Coursework/Mixed-Mode OR Master’s degree by Research with the following criteria:

*Note: 2 Scopus/WoS indexed conference papers are considered equivalent to 1 Scopus/WoS indexed journal

To remain eligible, successful applicants must adhere strictly to both timelines provided below. Failure to comply with either deadline will result in the automatic lapse of the scholarship offer.

General Terms & Condition:

• Application is open for Malaysian/International students.
• Applicants must already have an offer letter but yet to register.
• Scholarship is applicable only for Master’s and Ph.D. programmes by research (full-time).
• Duration of scholarship is limited to two (2) years for Master’s and three (3) years for Ph.D. programmes respectively.
• The Scholarship covers admission fee, programme fee, student development fee, subject fees and thesis examination fee within the duration of Scholarship.
• The Scholarship is not applicable for payment of re-take subjects.
• The scholarship is awarded based on the outcome of interview. The decision of the adjudicating Scholarship committee is final.
• Students are required to maintain a satisfactory progress in every progress monitoring cycle throughout their duration of study in order to enjoy the scholarship, failing which the scholarship will be terminated and no appeal is allowed.
• Strictly no scholarship extension is allowed.
• Applicants are not allowed to combine Achievers Research Scholarship with other scholarships. Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) hired by funding that do not provide PG fee sponsorship (e.g. FRGS, PRGS) can apply for the Achievers Research Scholarship.
• In the event that a candidate is unsuccessful in their initial application, they are permitted one additional opportunity to re-apply in the month of interview, provided that registration has not been done. Please note that each candidate is limited to a maximum of two application attempts. Candidates should be aware that re-application may result in a delay in the programme registration process.
