• MMU Postgraduate Merit Scholarship
    • The Postgraduate Merit Scholarship is open to Malaysian applicants. Programmes eligible for this award are:

      • Master of Business Administration
      • Master of Engineering (Telecommunications)
      • Master of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
      • Master of Science in Engineering Business Management
      • Master of Multimedia (Digital Learning) (conventional mode only)
      • Master of Creative Multimedia


      Application Criteria and Entitlement:


      CGPA above 3.67 50%
      CGPA 3.33 – 3.66 25%
      1. Must be a Malaysian citizen.
      2. Adhere to the deadline given at the MMU Institute Postgraduate Studies (IPS) webpage.
      3. The scholarship is offered to those students that completed a Bachelor’s Degree Programme from a recognised institution with minimum CGPA of 3.33 and successfully registered for the postgraduate programme listed.
      4. Scholarship duration for Full-Time programme is three (3) years and Part-Time is five (5) years.
      5. Minimum credit requirement is based on course structure of the programme.
  • MMU Achievers Research Scholarship
    • MMU Achievers Research Scholarship is a scholarship offered for those students who have graduated from their Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution with good CGPA score.


      CGPA Scholarship
      3.33 and above 100%


      This scholarship is limited to only 50 places and it will be on a first come first serve basis.

      General criteria:
      • Open to candidates who

      – graduated from Bachelor’s degree twelve (12) months or less prior to the date of scholarship application submission
      – are new applicants, not yet enrolled in any postgraduate programmes in MMU
      – have submitted an application and are waiting for offer letter, or have received an offer letter

      • Available for full-time Master’s and direct Ph.D. programmes by research only
      • Duration of study limited to two (2) years for Master’s and three (3) years for Ph.D. programmes

      Successful scholarship recipients are required to maintain satisfactory progress for every progress monitoring cycle throughout their study. Failure to do so will result in termination of the scholarship.

    • MMU Alumni Society is the official alumni organization of Multimedia University for both Cyberjaya campus and Melaka campus. As an alumni society, we serve as a bridge between MMU Graduates and the University. We encourage closer relations between our members and the University by providing an opportunity for you to keep updates on what is happening in MMU. MMU Alumni members will be given a 20% discount on the postgraduate programme tuition fees payable from 14 December 2011 onwards.

  • External Research Grant
  • Graduate Research Assistance
    • The Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) Scheme is introduced to drive research activity in Multimedia University (MMU) in particular the R&D Roadmap initiatives of MMU by providing financial support for postgraduate studies in MMU.  The process starts with the submission of a proposal by faculty member who will be the thesis supervisor of the GRA.  The proposals will be reviewed by a technical committee and recommended. Selected proposals will be announced on the R&D Website for GRA Applications. Successful GRA applicants will carry out their research in accordance to the approved proposal.  The GRA Scheme recipient will sign an agreement with MMU in order to receive the funding assistance. The GRA are required to contribute to the university by assisting the faculty or other departments of the university for 6 to 8 hours per week. Preference for this scheme is given to Malaysian students, however, international students with a first class honors are encouraged to apply.
